Baby Stars

We pride ourselves in offering a beautiful, exceptionally high quality, calm and nurturing environment for babies.

The single most important aspect of caring for babies in our opinion is to create a space which is homely and personal where babies can form key attachments with staff and feel safe and secure. We take guidance from parents regarding home routines and follow them so that every baby settles quickly, with a familiar key staff member supporting this important transition every step of the way.
The baby room has cot and private changing facilities within the room so that babies are continuously monitored by staff. All baby room staff have had specific training linked to delivering the highest standards of care and education for babies.

Little Stars and Little Rockers

Little stars is on the first floor of Gable House, consisting of 2 interconnected rooms, with seperate bathroom and changing facilities.
Little Rockers is the 2 year old room on the first floor of the Rocking Horse Building.
When children transition from one room to another, we promote a gradual and gentle transition until your child feels fully secure in their new surrounding and has formed good attachments to their new key worker. As in all other rooms, a key worker system ensures that your child’s developmental needs are monitored through the use of  visual observation and tailored planning for next steps in development. Staff take great pride in making sure that every day the children arrive into a learning environment which promotes curiosity and encourages challenge based on children's interests.

Children have complete freedom of choice to access all of our high quality resources which are within easy reach, allowing spontaneous in the moment learning to occur continuously.

Super Stars and Big Rockers

We have two Pre school rooms where children aged 3 and 4 occupy the ground floor of both Gable House and the ground floor of the Rocking Horse nursery buildings. Each of these rooms have separate private and safe changing/toilet facilities and also a  book lending library outside the rooms for parents/carers to access.
Each of these rooms are unique, both offering well stocked, high quality resources for children to easily access promoting curiosity and spontaneous play and learning. Highly trained key workers are constantly monitoring and assisting educational progression with every child based on individual pace and preferences.
In line with government guidelines, children have regular access to fresh air and physical activity in our bespoke and secure outdoor play facilities.
In addition and as part of our unique curriculum, we plan regular trips out and about in our community to local beaches and parks as well as further afield through our organised mini bus trips.

Tiny Stars/Starlight Rooms

Tiny Stars facilitates education and care for children around 12-24 months of age depending on individual needs. Transition from our Baby room to this room is very gradual and we work with families to ensure each child shows readiness to move in their own time. The environment is designed to create a sense of both comfort and curiosity in order to help children learn in a nurturing atmosphere. Tiny Stars has access to three rooms which the nursery has named the Starlight Rooms, each with their own purpose. The main classroom has just been newly refurbished and provides a wide range of high quality learning resources. The second room is geared towards physical play and has a wide range of soft play resources in it. We understand that in particular younger children need plenty of opportunities to access space to move and navigate space, climb etc. A second much smaller room is used as a sensory room where children are taken in small groups for sensory play and exploration. This floor also has separate private and safe changing and toilet facilities and also a separate kitchen.
Staff working in these rooms have received specialist training to work with babies and under two's.
