Parent Workshops/Useful Information
We believe in working with families as partners and so giving daily feedback to you is part of what helps us to connect nursery to home and visa versa. We also communicate with parents/carers through our family App, face to face meetings and workshops.
We have an open door policy where we encourage families to speak to us freely at any time about their child's care and development and have a management team on hand free at all times to facilitate meetings.
Throughout the year we hold a selection of both face to face and online family workshops in addition to sharing informative teaching tips/ activity ideas which can link nursery to home learning through our parent app.
The workshops cover a wide range of topics based on different ages. Topics covered such as Safer Sleeping, Weaning, Teething Coping Strategies etc for babies. For older children - topics such as Online Safety, Nutritional guidance /lunchbox ideas, Maths and Speech Club workshops are offered. We also hold SEND workshops where families can meet, have a cuppa and chat about daily life in a supportive environment and swap ideas. If you would like to find out more about any of the above topics, we also display useful information sheets in our communal hallways so please feel free to grab a copy!
Upcoming Workshops.
Healthy Eating/Lunchbox tips and Oral Health
Via Teams Monday 28th September 2026 at 7pm.
We will be sharing information from our last local authority Brush Bus visit discussing positive interactions linked to oral health and sharing ideas linked to our lunchbox policy to promote healthy eating.
Our next face to face SEND coffee morning workshop will be held up at Burlington Nursery on Saturday 10th October - 11.30am - 1pm Please let us know if you are interested in joining either workshop by letting one of the team know.
For the first time we are now opening this offer to local families who are not registered with our nursery so if you have a friend who has a child with SEN who could use some extra support or would just like to network with other families, then please give us a call and we would love to meet them. Everybody is welcome to attend.
