The first floor of Gable House provides for 2 year old’s, consisting of 2 interconnected care rooms, bathroom and changing facilities.
As in all other rooms, a key worker system ensures that your child’s developmental needs are monitored through the use of observations and tailored planning which ensures that every child progresses at their own pace. Staff take great pride in making sure that every day the children arrive into a fun filled room with planned activities waiting for them to enjoy.
The rooms have a wide variety of toys, equipment and activities for your child to enjoy, including a cosy reading corner, home corner, IPad suite, construction area, messy play area. Staff plan regular creative and messy play activities, circle time gives children an opportunity to sing and dance etc. We take regular trips out in our six seater bus to local amenities such as the beach, Sewerby park and the local park. We also invite visitors into our nursery such as the fire brigade, pets at home, the salvation army, guide dogs etc.
